Leonie Stander is a medical doctor in rural South Africa, practicing as a GP with general Surgery as special interest. She has always been a keen adventure traveler, combining her travels with running, hiking and skiing. She is a three-time Comrades finisher and most recently completed running a marathon on all seven continents when she finished the 2016 Antarctica Marathon. Her special interests are astronomy, geology and music. She is most proud of climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
