RACE DATE: Monday, April 15, 2024
RACE TIME: There are four wave starts for runners, preceded by professional wheelchair athletes, hand-cycles, and professional elite runners.
ORGANIZER: Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.)
COURSE: The course follows a point-to-point route from rural Hopkinton to Boston. The course is certified per the guidelines set forth by the IAAF and USA Track and Field.
TEMPERATURE: The average weather during the month of April in the Boston area is a high of 62F and the average low is 47F. Temperature swings are common in New England in the spring.
ENTRY FEE: Each runner must secure their bib directly with the B.A.A.
ELIGIBILITY: Runners must qualify to run the Boston Marathon by running a qualifying time at a certified marathon. Qualifying times are determined by your age on the date of the Boston Marathon in which you will be participating. Each runner must secure their bib directly with the B.A.A.

COURSE TOUR: We highly recommend booking the Boston Marathon Course Tour. This is optional and is open to runners and supporters for $40 per person. All tours depart from the Sheraton Boston Hotel (39 Dalton Street) and tickets must be purchased in advance. We recommend bringing your Program Book so you have a map of the course.
