Experiencing a new culture steeped in ancient history. Interacting with (shock) individuals like myself, hearing their stories, learning from their cultural and race experiences outside of the US. Confident that the Marathon Tours staff was there as a safety net. Thankful that Marathon Tours booked a hotel with a grand breakfast buffet, including race day morning special. Grateful for the Marathon Tours staff for guiding us to the buses for transport to the event start.
Stephanie and Anne were delightful. They were always mindful of the special needs of folks in the group and when one gentleman fell, they were right there to make sure he was all right and not needing medical care. They were happy, professional, fun to be around.
The whole atmosphere of a destination race, from the accommodations to the race itself, and meeting like-minded friendly people who were all there for the same thing. This atmosphere wouldn't have been made possible by the great planning and organization that went on behind the scene by the coordinators.
All the logistics were taken care of. I just had to get myself to Queenstown and I did not have to worry about all the normal race issues, e.g. start line transportation, pre race dinner, hotel, etc. took a lot of stress off my shoulders. Also got to meet a lot of amazing people and fellow runners. Made a lot of new friends.
First time with Marathon Tours. Was an excellent experience and has motivated me to make more trips and become part of the group.

Marathon Tours made racing the Dublin Marathon easy - we were centrally located and never had to worry about any of the details leading up to the race.
One of the best international race experiences with no worries about language barriers, plenty of friendly people to meet, and a race equivalent to many big city races in the US.
We stayed at the Hyatt Centric Arlington again this year. A great hotel that is located minutes to and from the start line. I love this hotel not only for the location but the excellent customer service
Loved the Le Meridian; staff was very friendly and accommodating to runners.
The Marine Corps Marathon is an awesome event. It is dear to me because both of my sons, as well as their wives are Marines. I run it in support of them and hope to get my sons to participate at least once. I look forward to this race every year. It so inspiring seeing the veterans run, running the Blue Mile and also witnessing the wound veterans along the course. The Marine Corps Marathon is truly the "People's Race." You can find inspiration throughout the course.

This was one of the best adventure tours I have traveled. Marathon Tours & Travel has a gem in Scott Guillemette as he is a true cheerleader in all things. He is there for the client from the start to finish, he works at communication of the schedule more than once, and he follows up. We book with Marathon Tours because of Scott, even though we have ties to Albatros. Thanks Scotty G... for another great adventure.
Scott does an amazing job to push the quality of service from the Marathon Tours higher. He is always working, always accessible and has no reservations to clear the way. Scott will listen, and deliver a solution. Even when Albatros delivers slightly under expectations, Scott really tries to make his clients wishes and concerns heard and resolved.

I thought all the excursions were great. They truly provided us with the overall land scape of Iceland. The Blue Lagoon was very special. The tour guides were very knowledgeable of the itinerary and were available for any questions we had during our trip.

I make decisions and choose so much in my life based on first impressions!
