This was a fantastic and adventures vacation - more than a race.
What did I like best about the trip? The Sydney pre race add on got to tour Sydney and spend time with others before event.
Ann is positive, kind and highly organized. She is very good with diverse people. Her "emotional intelligence" is outstanding.
Pure laughter was everywhere as was a deep cultural immersion coupled with a raw, natural, unpredictable, unforgiving environment free from modern distractions. The 2019 Australian Outback Marathon/Half-Marathon was a perfectly planned, supported and executed, celebratory event where citizens from six continents joined together establishing a temporal United Nations under a a common mantra language “No worries Mate!,” to the distant sounds of a digeridoo. Cue the dingos.
All the way through the pre-booking process, the event itself, and post event communication, Ann made her mark in representing the Marathon Tour participants making a wonderful and unique race experience all the more special.
I had decided at the beginning of the year that I wanted to run Dublin because I had never been to Ireland and thought it would be a great way to start my journey to the Seven Continents Club. While trying to register, I discovered that I had to book through Marathon Tours and recognized the name from my work with Back on My Feet Boston (Marathon Tours is a sponsor). I also figured that if I wanted to get more adventurous with my running, it would be beneficial to work with a company who could make that experience as amazing as possible, and I was not wrong.
I am one of the running Ambassador's for the Fleet Feet Marathon Running group. I sent out an email tonight to my group in regards to the Indy Monumental marathon this weekend that many in my group are running. In this email I told them about the wonderful experience I had with Marathon Tours and was very pleased at how well they organized all meals, day trips, travel, and group receptions. I would highly recommend using this group if you are considering running a foreign marathon.
Definitely enjoyed the extensions! So glad I splurged with both the pre-race and post-race extensions. It will be on my list to return to Belfast next time visiting Ireland.
This was my first time using Marathon Tours, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends and I’m sure I’ll be a return customer at some point. Thank you!
Ann and Jacqui were not only knowledgeable about Dublin and the specifics of race day, they even came out to cheer us on! I worked with Ann to book my trip and she was great. Even when she was in Australia, she responded to my emails and answered my questions thoroughly and in a very timely manner.
The Optional Merry Ploughboy Dinner was a great way to end our time in Dublin. Very fun show and the food was delicious.
Love, love, love the people. You should really promote how encouraging and wonderful the crowd is. WOW
The event...a singular world-class desert event in and of itself. The UNESCO site history guaranteed to bring chills on 40C days, if one remembers the thousands of lives passing before the historic Treasury, the Roman ruins, the Monastery, the cave shops, and other areas from more than 2,000 years ago.
Overall - a great trip. Once again Marathon Tours & Travel does an outstanding job on seeing that runners, guest and family members receive Class A service.
Cannot thank your company and your staff enough for organizing this remarkable race! Done a few cool stuffs in my life on my own, so I was a bit hesitant at the beginning about travelling with a group. To my greatest surprise, I had a blast! From my arrival to Jordan to my departure, I felt I was well looked after. Very well organized trip! Looking forward to seeing you all again!
Marathon Tours & Travel does an outstanding job on all arrangements.
Well I just finished the Polar Circle Marathon ugh that was a beast of a race.
Thanks Scott, the Polar Circle Marathon was so much fun. Everything was great. Glad to have worked with you on this trip. I would recommend it to everyone.
Fantastic way to experience a lovely country and meet the warm Cuban people.
The Marabana Marathon is like no other and a great way to connect with the Cuban people and culture.
