The support before and during the Berlin trip, from the greeting in the hotel. The cocktail hour on the Thursday, the bus tour and the greeting at the hotel after the marathon with beer, Gatorade and bath salts were great. The post marathon social event was great too.
This was my first experience with Marathon Tours & Travel. My wife and I hesitated to sign up for this based on the expense, relative to the cost of getting a hotel and lining up some wine tours ourselves (we were fortunate to have successfully registered for the race). But the "extras" provided that wouldn't come from our do-it-yourself trip were immeasurable -- priceless, as the commercial says. I look forward to our next trip with Marathon Tours & Travel. The benefits of this trip are too long to list but the big ones were: * The virtual elimination of the countless hassles and stresses normally associated with traveling, with planning a trip and with participating in a race (where's the pre-race bathroom?) * Meeting a great group of interesting people, all with a good balance of interest in running and having a good time. * Each aspect of the agenda was well thought out and each venue was perfect to provide a wonderful experience in a way no do-it-yourselfer could come close to replicating. * Outstanding hosts. * Providing race registration. I actually didn't need this but this was a benefit that I didn't appreciate and I think is undersold on the group's website.
The sense of community that you feel while travelling with Marathon Tours. We were like a little family for 6 days! Also, I never felt rushed or confused about what I was doing, what we were doing next, the days and schedules were planned out so well!
Ann and Jeff are fantastic!! They were super attentive to the guests and a pleasure to talk to. Everything was handled and clearly relayed to all of the guests. They did an amazing job! I am so glad I got to be on the tour with them.
This was the best travel and destination racing experience that every existed in the history of the universe.
I was inspired by the chance to support girls education and I hope to one day complete the 7 continents. I've traveled with you firm to Berlin and Dublin in the past so I am sure there will be many more adventures down the road with Marathon Tours.
The post race celebration was beyond an expectation that I had for the trip.
It was all excellent. The Petra stay was special as well as the adventure trip. All 3 days were different experiences and showed what Jordan has to offer for tourism.
I had an amazing time both prior to Berlin and while in Berlin. Nicole was AMAZING in handling of all my questions and getting me the right information at the right time. I was very very impressed. I believed everything was very well organized and the staff was extremely friendly/knowledgeable. Thank you for such an amazing/unforgettable trip.
Our host at the hotel and running event, Jacqui, was a touch of first class. She made us comfortable and at ease for this event.
Absolutely great race location and event.
I suggest recommending winter running shoes (gore Tex or other), minimum shirt gaiters and long ones are fine as well. Suggest training by running in sand or other soft surface.

My daughter and I were so happy to have the opportunity to run this race together this year. Marathon tours made this possible and the organization and professionalism were superb. We hope to do more marathon trips through marathon tours and will be spreading the word to all of our running friends. Thank you again for making our New York experience absolutely amazing
The hosts of marathon tours were excellent. The prerace communication exceeded my expectations. Thank you!. The hotel was a pleasant surprise. It was much nicer than I expected and the location was very good. The bus to the start line was excellent. Well done. Karen and Anna were amazing!! Thank you ladies for all your hard work. I liked how everything was organized for me including events that we could attend and having the transportation to the start of the race as part of the package. It took a lot of stress off in worrying about all of those details.
I called the Marathon Tours' office to inquire about another Major's Race and spoke with Nicole. She informed me of the VIP Package, as well as the advantages of the Seven Continents Club. She encouraged me to join and take advantage of trip. Before it sold out. I said, thanks and signed up.
This was a wonderful trip to a truly unique destination, with a great group of fellow travelers.
It was an absolutely amazing trip. The tour leaders were excellent, the local tour guides were really great. I can only say positive things about the experience. Many many thanks for such a wonderful tour. Keep up the good work and I look forward to travelling with the company again. The race course marking was exceptional, especially for such a remote course, and the placement of the water stations was very good. Wonderful to see the local volunteers and the locals cheering along the way. (Challenging course with sand surfaces...deep sand at times).
