The extension to Kyoto was fabulous. The transfer to the train station and to Kyoto was very smoothly executed and I always felt like we were in good hands. Our guide - Harumi - was phenomenal - a true gem. She was so informational and really, really funny - she truly made the trip. I loved the itinerary and the various temples we saw.
I thought that Nicole and Jeff and the the entire Tokyo Marathon group did an excellent job in sending out an email and asking athletes for their questions on the trip and addressing it in the Conference call, and further following it up with an email so that everyone that missed the opportunity to participate that day and time still had the ability to benefit from it. It was very proactive and forward thinking. Kudos to you wonderful people!
I have always booked my room through Marathon Tours for Boston. Next year will be my 4th straight year running the marathon.
The hotel that I booked on-line (Sheraton Boston) was only available starting Friday night before the marathon, but I was planning to arrive on Thursday. I called Marathon Tours to see if they could add Thursday night to my reservation, and Allyson was able to do that after working with the hotel. Thank you!

Everything went so smoothly. Everyone was genuinely "NICE". Allyson accommodated the addition of a family member to my VIP package very quickly and willingly only days before the event... she did it within an hour! This was important because I was also trying to book one of the few remaining seats on our flight for that person. The itinerary was put together extremely well. The food was incredibly good and plentiful... the restaurants were classy and excellent. The VIP bus transfer to the start is priceless!!!
This was my 4th time to Boston to run the marathon and it was by far the best experience because it was Marathon Tours!

Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the NYC Marathon. Not having run the event previously, it took the stress out of planning and allowed me to focus on running and enjoying the event. My wife has always been a great supporter and she appreciated meeting both runners and other supporters that are part of what Marathon Tours offers. The hotel venue was perfect! The location worked well as you could walk to the expo or take mass transit. Central park was close for the morning run. Starbucks in the lobby for coffee needs :) The welcome reception was a nice time to meet fellow runners and socialize. The pre race dinner was a great meal- lots of options and I enjoyed Roger and Kathrine. The coach bus and breakfast box was an AMAZING feature of this trip. Honestly, I had heard many horror stories of people being late to start or missing their wave due to transportation issues- so this was one of the main reasons I signed up for the package.
Everything I've come to enjoy about MT -- convenience, worry-free, all the details taken care of...so that all I have to do is show up and run.

Communication was excellent all the way around and the offering for the money was of good value. I loved this race and the experience with Marathon Tours took away all my travel anxieties and allowed me to focus on the marathon.
The Blackstone is a LOVELY hotel, and with its extremely easy access to the start and finish lines, it is by far the best venue I have ever had for a marathon.
At this point marathon tours is the only company I look to when considering a marathon because your service is impeccable. I sincerely appreciate the timely personal responses on email in advance planning for a trip and knowing you'll see a friendly, helpful face upon arrival in a completely new country.
