The memories of a great trip. Marathon Tours got our entry in a sold out event and booked hotels with ease that were in a great location
One of the best marathons I've run; the best expo I've been to; location of hotel great; hotel itself great -- better than expected. Bus trip to start was crucial.
London Marathon was a wonderful experience and it was fun to meet a lot of other runners at the welcome reception and also staying at the hotel. The buses to the start were a big plus.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the length of the tour was perfect. I also really enjoyed the race! It was an amazing feeling to finish in the first Olympic Stadium. I would highly recommend this tour to other friends and family.
It wasn't ALL about the marathon, which was great for my non-runner spouse! Met awesome people, had a great tour guide. I had such a crazy schedule with work/family before the trip, it was nice I didn't have to do much planning.
It's RIO! A place that most folks would like to visit "one day". The beaches were terrific and just to actually get to see the Christ the Redeemer statue up close and personal was awesome.
Iceland! It is a stunningly beautiful country with lovely people and a vibrant Reykjavik. Being there for the festival added another wonderful dimension.
Marathon du Medoc is a grand opportunity to challenge your ability, creativity and sobriety in one event!
The Race was like a MARDI GRAS parade and a party with 8,0000 new found friends, in unbearable heat and great cheer! The rest of the tour was icing on the cake.
No matter how great the scenery, food etc is, it always boils down to the people that one meets on the trip that makes it or breaks it. The people, all of them, is what I liked the best although it was such a thrill to cross the finish line. One does not so much connect with a statue or a blue water but the person that is there to embrace all of the above with you- now that is the BEST.
I liked getting to explore the island...it was more like being an explorer than a tourist, and it was nice that we practically had the place to ourselves since it was their winter.
The destination, of course, was fabulous, but the best part was the fact that there were only 30 of us the trip. A group that is only 20-30 for two weeks is a nice size so that you can meet people and start to get to know them enough to see if you would like to go on other trips or do other things with them in the future.
Discovering Easter Island. It was more beautiful and interesting than I expected.
Very well organized! This was my first experience with MT&T (and first international race). I had no idea what to expect going into it. The whole thing went extremely well though. Better than I could have ever expected. You will definitely be seeing me again in the future.
The destination...easy to get to...culturally appealing...great variety of food and entertainment. The marathon was well organized and a pleasure to run.
Overall a wonderful experience. Loved the Icelandic country, people and their culture. Tours, guides, MT&T staff were exceptional, knowledgeable and available for questions or advice. The hotel was nice, the race was awesome!
