I had interactions with several memebers of the Marathon Tours host team.....the Doctor was very helpful when I had a few questions. Gillian was very helpful. Jeff was always calm and dealt with all the issues and was an awesome cheerleader every time we came to the end of the loop during the marathon. Paul at the turnaround - he was very encouraging to us!! Everyone was great.
I honestly listened to Jeff's 2020 Conference Call likely 2 dozen times - I would run to it. I listened to the 2022 one maybe a half dozen times - during my runs. And I swear I would pick up or understand something a little better each time. It was a GREAT informational guide from start to finish.
Karen, Please accept my most sincere appreciation for your absolute commitment for masterfully addressing our each and every need during our Athens adventure from start to finish! You were always available to make sure every item and/or detail move smoothly. This Athens' trip moves to the top of the list of trips I've taken with MTT followed by Tokyo and Cuba (which you lead also)! Karen, Covered all the bases. She was always available to tackle/address whatever came up! She was always at the READY! Thorough, attentive, spontaneous, patient, warm, friendly, courteous and absolutely professional. Of all the trips I've taken with MMT, this was the BEST, due to Karen. It topped Tokyo. Karen's calm, collected disposition set the stage for everyone to undoubtedly have an enjoyable experience and feel comfortable like a group of old friends gathering. Rather than a group of unknowns! All of it done, and due to her quality of leadership and skill!
An amazing, unexpected, brilliant trip. Traveling with in the shadow of COVID-19 made everything more challenging, but MT & our guides Karen & Laura made everything so much easier. Would travel with MT again and again.
Spectacular experience from start to finish!
The Athens Marathon was a great experience, with a tough, uphill course and spectacular finish in the Panathenaic Stadium. Athens is a fascinating, ancient city with so much to see and do. Karen was a fantastic, enthusiastic trip leader who was so helpful with all my questions.
I loved the scenic beauty and friendly Chilean people and will never forget the Patagonia Marathon and the friendship with my fellow runners.
Good balance of personal time and scheduled activities. Great communication from trip leaders--never a doubt as to where to be at what time. Airport transportation to/from was great. Pre-trip communication excellent.
To my runner friends… you MUST call Scott and Marathon Tours & Travel for an amazing international marathon experience! I can’t begin to tell you how great Scott was and how much he did to help us be prepared during a really complicated time to travel internationally and run a marathon! He was with us the entire trip and has become a great friend! We can’t wait to travel with his group again!!
It was really great not having to worry about anything over the weekend except for running the streets of NYC!!

In particular, Allyson and Karen were meticulous in their keen attention to detail and in always being helpful, cheerful, and displaying a positive attitude despite their many operational demands. Definitely a great weekend memory for my 250th marathon.
Wow! Pam and I had an amazing time in NYC with Marathon Tours. It was our first trip with the team but it will not be our last! We met so many amazing people at your different events, it was awesome being with folks who share our passion for travel and running! I think we have the itch to chase the Abbott World Majors now!!
Thanks, for all the hard work you and your team did to coordinate the Berlin Marathon. I did not realize Marathon Tours had that many folks attending, so after attending the welcome reception, I had a new appreciation for all the work your team had between COVID impact last year and then coordinating this year.
I had a very memorable trip and I just wanted to say thank you and GREAT JOB to your team. I look forward to doing more marathon trips through you, as I continue my 6 star Abbott quest.
What did I like the most? The people - MTT hosts and runners are instant friends and family. The opening night talk by Jeff and Tom saying more about the mission and purpose of MTT helped me understand why I would want to stay connected to MTT for my destination marathons.
Allyson was amazing!! We felt so very prepared going to London…no question went unanswered. We were so grateful to be going with Marathon tours! Loved the race morning bus, that was so stress free!
MTT made everything easy at my first international marathon, especially considering the COVID challenges. I have participated in many US marathons on my own, but I think I would have had a difficult time in Berlin on my own. Thanks!
I wanted to let you know how happy I was that I decided to use Marathon Tours for the Boston marathon this year. With the rescheduling and cancellation of the 2020 marathon, I am so appreciative of all the extra work you had to do to make this happen. Your customer service skills are impeccable! Attending the cocktail party, dinner and the bus tour, and all the great advice and fun stories about the Boston Marathon really made this even more special and exciting. I also met some great running women at the various functions which was also a great bonus.
I’m writing to just say “thank you” for absolutely everything to make Berlin just amazing… over the past 2 years I cannot imagine the stress and gazillion emails you’ve responded to and you ALWAYS answered each one of mine (and I ask a lot of questions!) so timely and with patience and above all, information!
