DIAMOND ITINERARY: Four Night Package
Recommended Package

Thursday, July 27 – Arrive at the Uluru Airport and transfer to the Voyages Resort.  Upon check-in you will receive your race registration packet and have the chance to unwind. There are numerous pools, shops and café’s to explore as well as the views from the several lookouts to enjoy.  The group will meet for an optional afternoon training run before our special outdoor welcome dinner at Sails Resort poolside.  (dinner included)

Friday, July 28 – This morning will be an early wake-up so that you can visit the Uluru sunrise. With plenty of opportunity to see this amazing icon of the Australian Outback up close, your camera will be your best friend.  A small to-go breakfast will be provided in a special souvenir backpack this morning. Walk the base of Uluru on a self-guided 10K journey (if you choose) before spending time at the Aboriginal Cultural Center where you will be able to learn about the local indigenous people, the Anangu. This afternoon there is an opportunity to purchase our limited edition Australian Outback Marathon souvenirs as well as to change your running event if necessary.  Early this evening is a mandatory Outback Marathon opening ceremony and race briefing followed by our exclusive Pasta Party!  (breakfast and dinner included)

Saturday, July 29​ – Race Day! Breakfast will open early for you to grab a bite before being transported to the race start.  Upon finishing, enjoy a light lunch with Uluru as the backdrop.  There will be plenty of tables, chairs, fruits, sandwiches, and drinks for you to stay and cheer on your fellow runners!  This afternoon opt to do a sunset tour of Uluru or a sunset camel ride!  In the evening you are more than welcome to join for an informal get together at the Outback Pioneer Pub to celebrate your achievement (food and drink at your own expense). (breakfast and brunch at race finish included)

Sunday, July 30​ – Today is yours to enjoy.  Some optional activities that you can participate in include: a morning yoga session at Sails in the Desert, Uluru Sunrise Tour, Sunrise Camel Tour, Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) "Valley of the Winds" walk, Ulura and Kata Tjuta Helicopter Flight, or a Kings Canyon Helicopter Tour.    Other options may include booking a spa appointment, or skydiving!  Please note that optional activities are at an additional cost and are not included in your package price.  Be sure to join us for the celebration dinner, which will be at an exclusive outdoor venue.  Some of the highlights include an awards presentation, a slideshow, a fully hosted and multi-course meal, an excellent wine list, and a spectacular sunset (weather permitting).  This is the perfect way to end your outback adventure! (breakfast and dinner included)

Monday, July 31 – After breakfast, check out of your hotel and begin your journey home. (breakfast included)

Sunday, July 30 – This morning enjoy breakfast and an optional yoga class poolside at the Sails in the Desert.  We will then depart for a tour to Kata Tjuta and the “Valley of the Winds”. On arrival you will commence the 2-3 hour guided moderate walk (at times strenuous) in the valley between the massive red conglomerate rocks. When you reach the Valley of the Winds Lookout, take some time to gaze out over the central valley of Kata Tjuta. You should return to your hotel in the early afternoon.  The Celebration Dinner will be at an exclusive outdoor venue and will feature a slideshow, awards presentation, fully hosted and multi-course meal, an excellent wine list, and a spectacular sunset (weather permitting).  This is the perfect way to end your outback adventure! (breakfast and dinner included) 

Monday, July 31 –Today you will spend the day at the amazing Kings Canyon. After an early breakfast at your hotel you will board our exclusive luxury coach for the drive through sand hill country towards Kings Canyon. For those with a good level of fitness the guided rocky climb to the rim of Kings Canyon (taking up to three hours) will be rewarded with marvelous views.  Alternatively, you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn canyon floor, an easier walk. Lunch is included at Kings Creek Station and then you will return to the Ayers Rock Resort in the early evening.  (breakfast and lunch included)

Tuesday, August 1 – Today is departure day.  After breakfast, check out of your hotel to begin your journey home or to explore more of Australia! Transfer to airport included.  (breakfast included)
