Race Time: All events are planned to start at 5AM

The Course: The course is flat but maybe not fast if you are easily drawn into the amazing Walt Disney World attractions and entertainment on offer. Every distance starts and ends at EPCOT where you’ll have the chance to take photos with beloved characters. The marathon distance is the only course that takes in all four Disney parks; Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Eligibility: Marathon Tours & Travel, an authorized tour operator, is required to offer travel arrangements in conjunction with guaranteed race entry.  Following are the age requirements for each distance:

Marathon: all participants must be 18 years of age or older on race day
Half-Marathon: all participants must be 14 years of age or older on race day
10K: all participants must be 10 years of age or older on race
5K: all participants must be at least 5 years of age or older on race day 

Cut off times: Runners must maintain a minimum of 16-minute-per-mile pace. Pace cyclists will be on the course indicating when runners are behind pace by waving a red flag at each mile marker according to the official pace time. If you reach a mile marker with a red flag waving, please note you are behind the required 16-minute-per-mile pace and can be picked up at any time and transported to the course pick up tent. 

Number Pickup: You must pick up your race bib and packet at the Registration & Expo prior to race day. Marathon Tours & Travel has scheduled a stop at the Expo on Wednesday, January 3 and Friday January 5. 

Weather: Average temperatures range between 52F to 72F. The race will be held rain or shine. If there is lightning in the area, the race will either have a delayed start or, depending on the intensity of the weather, be cancelled.

Race Bib and Start Group Assignment: Each participant is assigned a race bib. Please wear the race bib centered on the front of your outermost garment. It is the responsibility of the runner to wear his or her bib during the race. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm that your bib is:

  • Clearly visible on the front of the torso
  • Unaltered and unmodified (do not fold, wrinkle or iron)
  • Pinned in all 4 corners
  • Not covered with shirts, jackets, winter wear, runner belts, water bottles, etc.
  • If a participant is seen without his or her bib number while running on the course, he or she will be removed from the course for security and safety reasons.
  • The letter on your bib will determine your assigned start group. Start groups are assigned based on proof of time provided for the half-marathon, marathon or your estimated finishing time.
  • Start groups are based on anticipated pace per mile for the 5K and 10K. No start group changes will be made at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo.
  • Remember to fill out the Emergency Medical Information on the back of the bib.
  • Runners completing the Dopey Challenge will receive get two bibs—one for the 5K and 10K and one for the Half and Full Marathons.

Digital Waiver Form: All weekend participants MUST complete a waiver form for each event in which they are participating prior to arrival. You will need to create a runDisney account to submit a digital waiver once registered.

Expo Check-in Pass: Your Expo Check-in Pass is required to pick up your Runners Packet for each event in which you are participating. Please bring it with you to the runDisney Health and Fitness Expo. Of course, your family and friends are welcome to join you at the Expo too! Your Expo Check-in Pass will be available to you by January 2, 2024, through your runDisney account.
