Run Rome The Marathon

Really appreciated the several communications that came out prior to the trip and advice on how to prepare and all of the documentation needed! Tremendously helpful!

I honestly cannot think of anything that I would do differently - Nicole (and team) did a fabulous job, and the hotel, etc are excellent choices.

Nicole and Ann are outstanding. Very customer focused and both made the extra effort to ensure everybody is taken care of. from pre-planning to making sure we could get our COVID tests coming home. They were involved and on top of making sure we had a great trip.

Ann and Nicole are outstanding. Runners are generally a collegial group but both Ann and Nicole take the time to make everybody feel part of the family. I’ve done 4 races with Marathon Tours and will join Ann in Dublin in the fall and know in advance it will be a wonderful experience.

We visited the Vatican through the Roman Guy. Highly recommend. We were picked up from our hotel and brought directly to the meet-up location. Got into the Vatican promptly at 8 am. Our tour guide was friendly and extremely knowledgeable.

I liked the location - within walking distance to historical sites, and the start and finish line of the marathon. The area reminded me of some movies that I have seen that showcased Rome - felt like I was in a movie.

Great Hotel! The hotel staff at the reception desk were friendly, and answered questions that I presented. Equally friendly were the restaurant personnel, room cleaning personnel, and concierge's. I was so impressed with the hotel that I have made a bookmark of Starhotel Metropole Rome so that if I ever return to Rome, which I will, I will seek to make my reservations there.

Loved Jacqui and Nicole. Very helpful and looking forward to future Marathon Tour Trips. I felt I got a good value for my money. Marathon Tours picked nice hotels in great locations, good breakfasts, good couple of dinners, and nice tours of the area. I would have liked to have an after-marathon party. It would be worth paying a bit more. Very fun!!! Thank you!!!

Thank you very much to your attention to all the details. We had a great time.this is the second tour but this one was the best.you are truly professionals who listen, respond and most of all try to accommodate our needs. 

Jacqui's stories and travels were amazing. We found great deals in a store she shops in Rome. Jacque walked us to the start of the Rome marathon. I felt she truly cared about us and saw us off. Traveling in a tour group is so much more fun! This was a group of fit people with a bunch of energy. It was not a bunch of "retired-acting" people. I made new friends and felt safer. I'm not afraid to travel alone with Marathon Tours. I can't talk anyone into Africa. I may have to go alone. Thank you for wonderful memories.

I've been traveling with your company since 2004 (first trip was Paris) and seems like you are always coming up with new adventures. You provide a great selection of places to run and love traveling with your company. I have never been disappointed.

We tried to even decide what city we liked best and had a very difficult time. I think my favorite was Florence and the winery tour/lunch but the Vatican was awfully impressive also. I truly enjoyed the entire trip and every city. The marathon was even enjoyable since it did not rain as much or as hard as they were predicting and the people watching were wonderful. Plus it is hard to not enjoy such things when you run towards St Peter's Basilica.

This is my fifth trip with Marathon Tours and I've never been disappointed. The staff is fantastic and the hotels, accommodations and tours are always wonderful!

Nicole did set up the train and hotel for our extension to Venice after Florence and that was excellent. We ran into Jacqui in Venice also and even though she was on her "own time", she was fabulous about answering questions we had about future trips and places with Marathon Tours. We also did a tour to/through Vatican City which was very nice.
